Last Monday, I received a Facebook message asking for specific photos I took last June. I knew it could only mean one thing. Someone had proposed!

Yes, these two lovebirds got engaged recently. I have barely been able to contain my excitement. And what would’ya know, they decided to make their announcement during the half-time of the Super Bowl this past weekend. Nabbed these shots in the afternoon before our friends’ wedding at Bastide du Moulin that almost-summer day in the South of France. I am absolutely ecstatic that they loved the images enough to request them for their big engagement announcement.

Ending up in the right place at the right time sure does put a smile on this photographer’s face. And maybe a bounce in my step, too.

Happy 2014, friends!

Happy 2014, friends!

Well, here we are. The calendar flips to December 31st, 2013. That part of the year when we all look back, reminisce, and reflect. I really enjoyed 2013 for the clarity and adventure it brought for me and for Slow Little Photo. While I have barely had a chance to look over what I captured this year, the best photographic moment stands out apart from all the rest, all in a league of its own. By far the best photoshoot I photographed this year was Jeff & Giuliana’s engagement session. A week before their wedding, while they put together the final touches on their wedding, they realized they didn’t have the perfect photo to display framed at their reception. We jumped to action and created the feel of their Maine destination wedding right in Mamaroneck, New York. The rush of that whole week - I can only call it thrilling.

Happy New Year’s Eve! Here’s to a light-filled 2014!

Kaylin Lee Clinton's cover of “Ain't No Sunshine,” performed at Moom, an Asian fusion restaurant in Six-Fours-les-Plages, on June 12, 2013. The band members included Pierre Sibille (Keyboard and Harmonica), Frank Taieb (Drums), Jérôme Buigues (Guitar), and François (Bass). Kaylin’s rendition totally blew me away.
